About

WCAAS is a regional affiliate of the Association for Asian Studies (AAS). Members hail from the Western United States, Mexico, and countries of the Pacific region. Our annual conference offers students, educators, and professionals in the humanities, social sciences, business, law, and other fields the opportunity to share their research with colleagues and the public. Since the first meeting of WCAAS in 1963, thousands of research papers, covering all major disciplines and every corner of Asia, have been presented and discussed at our conferences.
